40. At 41, he will be completely done.

Manning has 2 years on him in the NFL but since Brady wasn't that good at Michigan and sat the bench, he has a little more arm mileage to give than Peyton at this point

So you give him two more years?

I think he is the exception to the rule. Can see him going 5 more years, retiring at 43. As long as he can avoid major injury. 45 seems pretty unrealistic.

Manning has been the least hit qb maybe of all time. The skills can go quickly. Brady could get a contract until 45 is very likely but be effective; 2 more years. Keep in mind, one hit at that age equals career over.

Um, actually Brady earned the starting QB role his junior year, and ended up winning 20 of the 25 games he started at Michigan.

Brady stuck it out, and in 1998, his junior year, he earned the starting quarterback position. He went on to earn an AllBig Ten Conference honorable mention; he was an Academic AllBig Ten Pick (he had a 3.3 grade point average); and he set several University of Michigan records, including the record for most attempts (350) and completions (214) in one season. Brady also led the Wolverines to victory at the Citrus Bowl in 1999 and was named team co-captain the same year. In 2000 he became team captain.

Brady worked all the harder and completed the year by throwing the twenty-five-yard pass that brought victory to U of M over the University of Alabama in the 2000 Orange Bowl.

Did you think that no one was going to call you out for making such a stupid post?

You really want to compare Manning and Brady in college? You are smarter than that. Manning made recruits transfer. He was something like 39-6 in college

No idea, not sure why you think the question is thread-worthy. It's all about if he can stay injury-free or not.

What determines if anything is thread worthy?

If you don't think something is thread worthy don't click on the thread. Pretty simple.

At least when he retires we can look back and see how close we were on our predictions

But no guarantee he'll end his career with the Patriots.
As the team gets younger, I can't see Kraft wanting to hold onto an old QB.

Almost a certainty. As pay increases and production decreases, he will be kicked to the curb in a 15 minute meeting. Will end up on the 49ers and he will pretend it is a dream come true until he seperates his shoulder week 4 against the Rams.

Um, why do you put words in my mouth? I wasn't comparing Manning and Brady in college - you're getting desperate here.

You said Brady wasn't good in college and sat the bench. I showed how clearly that is bullshit.

Try again?

The guy shows no sign of decline, I think he goes to 45 just to keep his word.

I think Manning's problem is the neck surgery

Is that sort of like sponge-worthy ?

I see Brady perhaps hanging up the cleats and going out on top if he wins the Superball this year, one more year if not, he's not Steve Austin aka the $6 man, or just a kicker, he has nothing left to prove and should retire before he gets seriously injured !
